Camera Critters

The owls by day

Owls are far-sighted, and are unable to clearly see anything within a few inches of their eyes. Their far vision, particularly in low light, is exceptionally good, and they can turn their head 135 degrees in either direction; they can thus look behind their own shoulders.

Fun. It’s been a while since I’ve seen owls. I guess I need to head to the zoo.

I tell you: there are many days now when I wish I had that neck rotation. I’ve been searching the woods for owls. Nothing! But I keep hearing them at night and seeing them fly by.
